The Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation (PPRF) was established to support and enhance our communities through active volunteering and charitable giving. Our focus is on housing and community related issues.

About the Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation

The Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation was established in 2005 by the agents, staff, managers and owners of Prudential Preferred, REALTORS®. It is our hope to grow the Foundation with the help of many generous individuals so that we can provide grants to support critical housing related issues in our communities. We have partnered with the Kalamazoo Community Foundation (KCF) to assist us with our Foundation. This well-respected community organization will handle PPRF administrative details and offers the assistance of its staff to help identify housing needs. The KCF has established partnerships with other community foundations in our service areas. Because the Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation is an endowed Advised Fund of the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, it will be a permanent source of community capital that will benefit current and future generations.

Volunteering in our Community

Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® believe in the value of volunteering in our communities. Through the Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation, volunteers will be available to support special projects that enhance and provide direct aid to our local communities.

Volunteer Proposals

Organizations may submit proposals at any time. The Foundation is currently looking for volunteer projects for 2008. We cannot provide support to communities outside our local area or to religious or political organizations.

Charitable Giving

Gifts of any size to the Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation are now being accepted. Your gift may be eligible for the Michigan Community Foundation Tax Credit (read below). To donate, please make your check payable to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation. On your check’s memo line, indicate the Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation and mail to:

Michigan Community Foundation Tax Credit

When you make a gift to the Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation, you may be eligible for a special 50 percent Michigan Community Foundation Tax Credit. The law permits taxpayers to reduce their Michigan Income Tax by a credit of 50 percent of the amount contributed to a community foundation endowment fund.

• If you contribute $200 or more to the Prudential Preferred, REALTORS® Foundation, your tax credit will be $100 (maximum credit) for an individual filing singly.

• If you and your spouse contribute $400 or more, your tax credit will be $200 (maximum credit) for a married couple filing jointly.
